Year-End National and Regional Standings for Cimarron and Debbie

Deb and Cimarron's most successful show season to date!

Dear Friends,

Attached please see the year end national and regional standings for Cimarron and I following my most successful show season to date. It’s been an unbelievable whirlwind year with more traveling and recognized competitions than I’ve ever experienced. My goal at the beginning of the season was to do at least as well as last year with the increased difficulty of moving up a level. Cimarron was a star from start to finish allowing me to win 8 out of 13 horse trials including the regional championships and nearly all our *** dressage classes at 3rd level. Throughout the season Cimarron had to make the transition from breeding stallion to focused competitor on a weekly basis sometimes being collected the mornings we left for big competitions. At every show, other than Ram Tap, he was stabled in the small portable stalls where he could see over the partitions and visit with neighboring mares and geldings and even another stallion. He never made a fuss and was one of the quietest best behaved horses in the barns. He was always ready to give his best and make a dynamic impression on everyone who saw him. We ended up with nearly double the point totals of last years’ highly successful season and more championship titles than I ever knew existed! (see attached) Cimarron continues to improve and shows no sign of wanting to retire anytime soon so we’re working hard to prepare for the big step up to Preliminary for ’06. My dream and goal is to qualify and compete in my first One Star, hopefully by the end of the year. If Cimarron continues to be as happy and willing in his dressage work we will compete at 4th level next year as well. I have never competed at these levels so it’s all new territory for me but I have complete faith in this literal dream horse of mine who has never let me down. A special thanks to all my family and friends who have given their undying support and to Cim’s former owner Holly, who’s loving intuition brought me and Cim together.
